MKMMA Week 8- The Law of Growth

Getting off course.

Despite the fact that I am now a woman with a road map AND a compass, getting off course happens.

Even when my intentions are good and I write it down, and I tell myself “Do it. Do it NOW!” Sometimes the sun sets in the horizon before I’ve taken even one step toward my desired intention.

Hopefully, I correct myself before the seconds turn into minutes, that turn into hours, that turn into days, that turn into years.

Ideally, I will realize what I’ve done and correct myself immediately. Thank you very much Mental Diet and Law of Substitution.

I will feel love, I will do my mental diet, and I will pick up my self, my compass, regroup, restart and move forward. I will form good habits and become their slave. It’s all a part of the Law of Growth.

I find it ironic that I used to be a collector of clocks and watches and things of that ilk. I even thought metronomes were cool. All of these items…….. they tick-tock each second, of every day, away.

(((Insert screaming noise here)))

Have you ever noticed how the word compass is contained in the word compassion?  This compass of mine is much more compassionate than any watch I’ve ever owned.

I’m sure that when I get off course, even my slow road will get me where I want to go. But why take the slow road when I don’t have to? Why get all bruised and scratched by the terrain of the slow and gnarly road, when my compass and all my guiding tools are pointing me in the direction of a road that is smooth as glass?

Just do it. Do it NOW!

It IS difficult because there are a lot of things for us to do every day, but hang in there!

I am taking away from your blog that it is more important to have and follow direction than speed (time) at this stage of your life. Love it i’m just a few years your senior and through MKMMA I’ve relaxed and just following the compass which is more compassionate to self.

    Hi Bruce.
I would love to have speed, but I’ve never been a fast one. I’m always the one to sniff the flowers and take my shoes off to get my feet wet along the trail. For some of us, we just have to accept that and love it.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my blog and for your great comments. Looking forward to our connection here.
